B&E over May long weekend

Nootka Sound RCMP advise that over the recent long weekend a Break & Enter occurred at a residence on Nimpkish Drive.

An extremely intoxicated 17 year old male had entered a residence in the 600 block of Nimpkish Drive, and proceeded to compile and collect valuable items and place them in an area near the outside deck.  The culprit also spray painted graffiti on the walls throughout the interior of the residence.

During this time, the homeowners arrived home to find the culprit inside their home.  Nootka Sound RCMP were on patrol a short distance away and quickly attended the residence and arrested the lone male.  The investigation is continuing and charges will be forwarded to Crown shortly.

RCMP are reporting that overall it was a quiet weekend, with no major incidents other than the B&E reported above.
