A warm fire and hot chocolate were most welcome after the 2014 Polar Bear Swim at Big Bend! Participants had a balmy West Coast day for the event, but the Heber River is cold in the Summer – let alone Jan 1st!
Young and old took part (youngest was just 5 years old), and organizers hope for even more for for 2015!

Remembrance Day ceremonies will begin at approximately 10:45 tomorrow morning. There will be a church service at 10am, following that, the parade will march to the Royal Canadian Legion where wreaths will be placed at the beautiful new cenotaph.
After the service there will singing in the Legion and then the children will go to the LA Hall where there will be cookies and hot chocolate. Adults will enjoy an afternoon of camaraderie and food in the Legion.Email This Post to a Friend

We are looking for a user or user groups to run the Beer Gardens for the Gold River Canada Day Slo-pitch event.
There are four fireman and two ex Lions members willing to help, but looking for more volunteers and a leader to make this happen.
We are expecting 40-ish teams this year. Anyone interested must have their Serving It Right.
