To all the people of Gold River who knew and loved our little dog Cujo.  I’m sad to say she died Feb 1st.  Thanks to all of you who have said kind words.

She will be greatly missed.

It will be a half-hour program, showing the mountain, with a few short interviews – possibly including one with a Gold River resident!  Many Gold Riverites have been to Mt. Cain with a school group years ago or  more recently, and many more “have been meaning to check it out for years”.

Tune in on Friday at 7:00pm for a walk down memory lane, or perhaps you’ll be inspired to hit the slopes again!

The eagle needs transportation asap to Courtenay where it’s injuries can be treated.  If anyone is heading down Island within the next day or two and is willing to transport, please contact Mick Mann at 283-2294.

FYI: The eagle needs to be taken to the Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society 6817 Headquarters Road, Courtenay.

I am getting a few calls here and there in regards to starting a SHUTTLE running between Gold River and Campbell River.

The proposed days would be Wednesday / Friday

We would require a minimum of 6/ day in order to make it workable.  We can accommodate anywhere from 6-21 at one time and will send the vehicles out accordingly.

Now would Wednesday/ Friday work EACH week or every 2 weeks?

Although the live theatre auditions wrapped up at the end of 2011, the show is giving talented Canadians one last chance.   The Top 20 YouTube auditions will be posted on the website on January 23rd for fans to review, then it’s up to Canada to choose who will be the lucky act fast-tracked to the Canada’s Got Talent semifinals in April.

The top 20 YouTube auditions have not been decided yet, but I’m sure all of Gold River will agree that our Miss Allie should be among them!

The more views and comments on Allie’s YouTube audition the better!  It only takes a minute to create an account, but if you have Gmail or a Google account already, that’s all you need to be able to leave your support for Allie.
