Have wonderful memories of this lovely lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

  2. Millie’s DIL Marion phoned me on Friday morning and tole me the sad news. Millie and I have been close friends for nearly 40 years. It started with Millie being Millie. It was 1980, and my son Keith had been killed in a car accident with 2 other Gold River boys. This was our second child we’d lost and it was very hard. I’d known Millie, but this showed me “Millie” as she was. She would phone me often saying “I just wanted to see how you are.” and she chat. She was always checking on me and that was the start. I saw over the years how good Millie was to everyone. If anyone needed someone, Millie was there. When she and Don moved to Courtenay in 1989, I was lost, but we phoned each other all the time. When Colin died, Millie was there, and when Gerry passed away, Millie was there again for me. When the kids wanted me to move closer to them…. well, Millie was just down the Highway. She and Don drove up to seem me often. Millie went on a cruise to Alaska with my oldest son Kevin and his wife. Being Mille, she and my DIL Debbie did a lot of laughing, it was a wonderful time, Most of my extended family knew who Millie was….. My brother Dallas got along with Millie too, and he called her ‘my other sister’ and she called him her ‘brother’… I think we have all lost a very great person……. The world shouldn’t lost all the good people like her…. I’m going to miss her…….. and I feel so sorry for her family….. she loved them all so much.
