Love the site! This is a great way to keep up to date on what's happening in our community. I have noticed there have been several missing pets in our town, and it saddens me to see this. I can't help but wonder (and worry) if they had been found or not. I was wondering if you could notify us when a pet has been found. That would be very much appreciated!Thank-You! :)

Over the last 3 months we have been in and out of the Gold River area and received many letters in Support of having a Shuttle Service run from Gold River to Campbell River. We have also been asked about putting a TAXI Service in town. Now that the Shuttle is in place and ready to go--nobody calls to come out. The Taxi idea seems to have faded as well I feel? Please forward any comments or replies to my email address at 287taxi@telus.net This all takes many hours of paperwork and meetings to be put into place. If the interest has faded then I can stop pushing so hard. Thank you for your input in this matter.

My name is Deborah and I am an owner with my husband of 287-TAXI in Campbell River.Over the last few months we have been working on puting a Taxi and Shuttle Service in the area. This weekend I am still accepting any letters from the commnity in support of this new venture and will be submited on Monday morning with my final submissions. Such a great site! So informative for the community. Looks like the Mayor gets more response from his citizens on this site then a regular council meeting. Keep up the good work Mayor, and you too Gold River Girl. I would like to see a classified adds section.

This is a great page! Gold River fascinates me, it is so small and quaint. It is an interesting concept to comprehend, I love it. I have a friend who started working here, and I have come up a few times. I like to read this page and see what is going on in Gold River, thanks!

Since our daughter (Cathy Meske) informed us of the G.R.Buzz a few weeks ago we have become addicted viewers to your Hyper Local blog. Congratulations on your dedication and excellent presentation in providing news, information and all the other impressive goodies relating to Gold River. Gold River should be so lucky to have your dedication. Keep up the excellent work!

Hey there. I just wanted to say I love the site. What a great idea. The "Resident Spotlight" would have to be my favourite though. I was just wondering how often you will be spotlighting people? I'll keep coming back, this definitely keeps me up to date as to what's going on in our community. :)

We?ll start off with a Happy New Year to everyone, which will then be followed by, what did you do for New Years? As most people know, the Legion had, as usual, a DJ. Since the Ridge Pub is no longer open, it leaves us with few choices where we could go so we could celebrate with family and friends. This year there was still a choice, for those who were not aware, ?Guess What Peter Did? played at the Lounge. Unfortunately there was very little advertising for the show, but I truly believe that was not why the turnout was poor. Unfortunately, Gold River stood up for it?s name once again ?Gold Rumour,? it starts with one, and carries on. For those who don?t know what I?m talking about, it was said that there was going to be no bar at the Lounge for the show. If I?m not mistaken, the Lounge does not open unless there is a bar being run; therefore, either cancelling GWPD completely, or making one big rumour. Generally, New Years celebrations do involve alcohol, and if there was no alcohol, there most likely would be no turnout. If for any reason there is doubt in the future, ask someone who knows the facts, GWPD has a great page on Facebook, so become a fan, show your support! Now that that has been said, I would like to thank those who showed up and supported GWPD. The performance was great, and even though there were few people, I had a great time! Hopefully, even though the band lost money, they will choose to play again in the future, because it?s always great to have live, local talent.
