At the request of my dear friend Margarita James, she wants all locals & people who read the Buzz to know that she is the person running the Yuquot Cabins out at Friendly Cove.
It was a wonderful surprise to see her & I couldn’t have been happier. She is the one who you will meet when you go visit the cove, or go camping, or stay at the cabins.
It has been spectacular out there this year, boats everywhere you look, and more whales then we have seen in a while. Just yesterday the humpback was rolling on the beach again…. such a spectacular sight!
Margarita is such a warm & loving person – the perfect person to welcome you to Friendly Cove!
They have a shelf of souvenirs for sale & Jim will be selling a burger meal which includes pop & chips (delicious).

The pics of Friendly Cove sure bring back a flood of wonderful memories. Can’t wait until next summer when we return to go boating in the Nootka Sound area. Boating on the lakes is great but doesn’t compare to Nootka Sound and area. I am enjoying the Gold River Buzz-check it often to see what’s new in our old home town. “Hi” to everyone. Ann Cooke
