Odds & Ends

- First let me say, HOLY SMOKES what a good hockey game!  We were on the edge of our seats, especially with the US tying  it up in the last seconds of the third!  What a fantastic note to end the Olympics on, eh?

- Just in case you hadn’t noticed, I’ve added a few more pics to the Gallery, and also a bunch of maps to the Maps/Extras section.  (Thanks Suzanne & Chelsey!)

-  I keep thinking that the Gallery really only has area type photos, and not very many of the actual Village of Gold River.  If anyone has a few that they’d like to share, please send them my way and I’ll add them to the Gallery.  (Yes, I could go take some myself, but Winter without snow isn’t really the most attractive!)  Oh, and Luna photos.  He was such a big part of Gold River, I think he should have a few pics in the Gallery.  (Preferably ones where you’re not touching him! :-) )

- For now though, we can always check out vPike.com -  if you haven’t seen it yet, check it out.  Put your home address in the search bar (ie: 123 anyroad Gold River BC) and sit back and say holy s**t!  Very cool, and pretty unnerving at the same time.  Here are a couple screen shots I grabbed earlier:

All of Gold River is mapped out this way, and you can zoom into houses pretty darn close.  (The blinds on our house are wide open – good thing it wasn’t a Thursday! ) They mapped all the way to the docks, and as far as the turnoff to Tahsis.

- Consuela came and cleaned for hours and hours and hours on Friday!  It was heaven to come home to a nice clean house!  Thank you Consuela! (aka: Rose)

Have a great week everyone!  Happy March – good lord that came quick!

Thank you GR girl for this fun tool. After reading the article, curiosity got the cat and had to check out the house. After realizing the photo was taken prior to the children and I moving in, I decided to visit our previous home. By the looks of the photo, it was taken the weekend after the garage sale (getting ready to move to GR) and sometime prior to garbage day. Now I’m left feeling disappointment over some of the things I left on the curb…which btw never made garbage day as my neighbors tipped toed over during that night and gave my things a good home lol. This site is for sure something I will forward to family and friends. If anything it will allow them to visit GR, offer them peace of mind that the kids and I are doing very well in such a great community. Thanks again!

    LOL – Too funny Nicole!

I think it must have been mapped (in GR anyway) sometime around the end of Summer or early Fall last year as the hanging baskets in the front of our house are looking half dead!
