In honour of my husband, Bob Dorrington, I would like to make this offer to anyone from Gold River who is fighting cancer.
Please accept my gift of a “home away from home” if you or a loved one is having to travel to Victoria or Nanaimo for cancer treatment. I am located in Duncan with easy access to both Victoria and Nanaimo. I can offer a queen sized bed, private bath and private lounge area.
I will transport you to and from your treatment if necessary, and provide a quiet environment to aid in your recovery. The accommodation, as mentioned is a gift – meals are not included because I am a lousy cook however you are welcome to the kitchen in my home. I ask only that you respect the No Smoking in my home request. There is a small deck you can make use of for that purpose.
