Nootka Sound RCMP

The Nootka Sound RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance with locating the person or persons responsible for an arson which occurred at the Nimpkish Park at around 6 P.M. on Monday evening.  The Gold River Fire Department responded to a fire to a porta potty which suffered extensive damage and is considered a complete loss.  The matter is being investigated as an arson due to evidence located at the scene and no power supply to the unit.  If you noticed anyone suspicious in the area between 5P.M. and 6 P.M. or have any information regarding this crime please contact the Nootka Sound RCMP at 250-283-2227 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
