December 29th saw the culmination of a ten-month bargaining process in Gold River. On that date the Gold River Revellers Seniors Club signed a five year lease agreement with the Gold River Legion, branch #270. The lease agreement was for use of the Revellers clubhouse which is within the Legion complex. Vice President and senior negotiator for the Revellers, Gabriella Pentz remarked she was “Happy to sign the agreement for the next five years.” Likewise pleased with the outcome, Branch President Bob Hoffman added ” It has been accomplished and everyone is happy.”
The Revellers, a senior social club, have been active in Gold River since 1995. A service organization for Veterans and their communities, Branch #270 is one of 149 Branches in BC and the Yukon. It received its charter in 1967.
