Congratulations to the 2015 winners of the three tablets provided by the Gold River Friends of the Library!

Gordie Waterman, our Gold River representative on the Library Board, was here for the draws at 4pm on Saturday Dec. 5th, 2015.

Our winners are:

Adults – Jenny Riddell

Teens – Dylan Moreton

Children – Lily Riddell

The Winter Reading Frenzy ran from Sat. Oct. 17 to Sat. Dec.5, and each time a reader finished a library book, they could fill out a form with the author’s name, the title of the book and rank it from 1-5. The bottom of the form had space for the customer name and phone number. These pieces were cut off and entered into the jar for the appropriate age group, colour coded of course. Book slips were formed into a long paper chain that now graces the Christmas Tree at the front of the library. Please drop by to see it.

This year we received a total of 1192 entries from 48 different people, a major increase over 2014 when we also had 3 tablets provided by the Friends of the Library as prizes. In 2014 we had 707 entries from 60 different people. Congratulations to the readers of Gold River and Merry Christmas from the staff to the whole community.
